Partnership Specialist (Tribal), GG-0301-07/09/11/12, Census-EXT-JM
Plan, develop, and coordinate the partnership agreements to ensure activities at all levels are carried out, resolve problems encountered, and determine the need for renegotiation. Address questions, concerns and issues related to current and potential partners and stakeholders. Establish partnership agreements with tribal governments, and/or local businesses and tribal community groups to develop specific strategies to eliminate enumeration barriers in specific regions in support of the Decennial Census. Develop relationships and partnerships with the specific community listed in the Job Announcement in the Regional Census Center area. Develop presentations, give briefings, conduct meetings and promote partnerships with various governments, local businesses, and community groups. Build awareness and motivate participation in the Decennial Census, gain support for census outreach and promotional activities and census field operations. Takes appropriate actions to meet the specific promotional needs of the tribal communities in the Regional Census Center (RCC) area. Experience assisting with communication principles, methods, and techniques for the development of campaigns and experience assisting with editing and explaining technical material for targeted audience. Experience for this position is responsible for developing partnerships with tribal governments; tribal community-based organizations, faith-based groups; schools; media outlets; businesses; and other grassroots entities in tribal communities within the RCC area. Experience includes conducting research, analyzing the Regional Census Center area, and assist in the development of the regional plan for the Partnership Program for the census. Experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating the goals and objectives of nationwide and regional outreach. Experience conducting public affairs programs involving public information community relations activities and seeking cooperation. Experience developing and explaining in-depth technical material for a targeted audience. Experience and the ability to present information, program objectives and activities to internal and external groups, inclusive of the public, media, state, and local government officials, community businesses, and organization program officers. OR EDUCATION:
